The Town Hall depends heavily on the generosity of the community! Thank you to all of you who have made donations over the years.

Currently we are working towards raising funds for:

  • Replacing the windows throughout the building (to maintain historical look while providing energy savings)
  • Hiring an administrative director
  • Creating an office space with internet access
  • refinishing the hardwood floors
  • Restoring the entryhall doors
  • Restoring the front classroom ceiling and windows
  • Painting the exterior of the building
  • Landscaping the grounds

We sincerely appreciate any and all donations that will help us to improve the building which will make it a safe and positive space for the community!

We are now making it easier to make contributions by providing online payment through paypal. Of course, mail in donations will still be graciously accepted! Please indicate on the check if you would like your donation to go towards a specific project or program.

Support for the 2009 Renovation

We could not have done it without you!

After two years of fundraising and renovation work, phase 3 of the renovation project is finished. What was originally a community schoolhouse, is fast becoming a vibrant community center.

We are deeply grateful to the community and all the grantors who believed in the need for this project, and who contributed essential financial support.

We are equally in-debt to Hood River County Public Works Director Dean Guess and all the contractors and dedicated volunteers who worked on the project. Their extraordinary commitment of time totaling $52,000 in in-kind donations, allowed us to achieve far more than our budget detailed.

Thanks to one and all!

Thanks to the 140 local families and businesses who donated money, as well as the following charitable foundations whose combined contributions totaled $368,000:

  • Ford Family Foundation
  • Meyer Memorial Trust
  • M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust
  • The Collins Foundation
  • Kinsman Foundation
  • Jeld-Wen Foundation
  • Oregon State Historic Preservation
  • Hood River Rotary Club
  • Hood River Lions Trust
  • Gorge Community Foundation
