MHTH SEEKS A COOK FOR SR. MEALS PROGRAM

The Mt Hood Town Hall has been serving a hot lunch meal to residents in the Upper Valley for over 40 years. This weekly meal is a real treasure to all involved. It provides a valuable opportunity for seniors to visit with friends and enjoy lively social interaction. It also provides one hot lunch a week to the kiddos at New Vision School, a joy for students as well as teachers and volunteers.

The Town Hall is seeking a lead cook to prepare the weekly meal. If you like being a part of a wonderful tradition and seeing lots of smiling faces, this is the job for you!

Job Details:

Plan meals according to governing regulations
Shop for food as needed
Prepare weekly meal
Oversee team of volunteers
Ensure kitchen is clean and maintained to standards
(There is a dedicated group of volunteers currently serving and preparing the meal… the new cook will have lots of help!)

Qualifications:

A love of cooking!
Food Handlers’ Card

Expectations / Compensation:

Meal is served on Thursdays at 11:30AM. You can expect to be at the MHTH from 8:30AM-2:30PM. Prep work time is flexible on your schedule.
Roughly 8 hours per week., $12 – $15 per hour (DOE)
